Robert Vignaud

robert vignaud Robert (double bass) is a native of Southern Louisiana (Lake Charles and Lafayette). After high school in Lake Charles, he played for several years in the house band at the legendary Bamboo Club. While in Lafayette, he toured and recorded with a variety of groups including the Renaissance Cajun band, Beausoliel, the Lake Charles Symphony, the Alexandria Symphony, and several improvisational jazz ensembles. Since relocating to Austin, he has performed and recorded with a widely diverse assortment of musical ensembles. Current projects besides the Austin Cajun Aces include the Nash Hernandez Orchestra, The Harold Wood Quartet, and Brian Cutean. His major musical influence to date has been the eruption of Mount St. Helens.
